The Ocala Film Derby is a dynamic five-day film competition that showcases the talents of Marion County’s high school and middle school students. Now in its second year, the Film Derby challenges teams of students and local mentors to create original short films under intense time constraints, with mandatory prompts for props, dialogue, and characters. This immersive experience emphasizes teamwork, creativity, and real-world filmmaking skills.
Sunday, September 22nd, from 2-5pm at the Marion Theatre, the student team films will be screened, awards given and scholarships announced. Please join and support your local students and mentors!
