Trenton and Luigi could not have predicted the artistic journey on which they would embark upon meeting in the fall of 2021. After two years of developing their musicianship and friendship, this duo now share a multitude of musical projects including their respective jazz groups and their power-quartet Outlier. Their compositions range from contemporary jazz to fusion, taking inspiration from artists such as Braxton Cook, Moonchild, Butcher Brown, Hiromi, Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea.
Trenton Klaz
Based in Miami, Florida, Trenton Klaz is a highly accomplished pianist, composer, and bandleader. With a solid classical training background, he has excelled at the piano, keyboards, and synthesizers, captivating audiences with his virtuosity and creative interpretations. Influenced by jazz legends like Chick Corea, Michel Camilo, and Bill Evans, Trenton has developed a distinctive style that blends Latin jazz, rock, and classical genres.
He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Florida, as well as a Master of Music degree from the prestigious Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, where he is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Musical Arts. Trenton has showcased his talent at esteemed venues such as Heartwood Soundstage and the Reilly Arts Center, and he has collaborated with notable artists, including Wycliffe Gordon, Bobby Shew, Dafnis Prieto, Maria Schneider, the Ocala Symphony Orchestra, and the Glenn Miller Orchestra.
Honored with awards and accolades, including placing in various concerto competitions, Trenton’s passion for music radiates as he shares his expertise with aspiring musicians and pushes the boundaries of contemporary jazz. He is committed to leaving an indelible mark on the global music scene.
Luigi Arredondo
Luigi Arredondo is an acclaimed saxophonist, drummer, and composer of Dominican and American heritage. Graduating from the University of North Florida in the summer of 2021, Arredondo has established himself as a remarkable musician, composer, and band leader celebrated for his distinctive and enchanting sound, as well as his expressive, rhythmic, and melodious improvisations on the saxophone and drums. He has had the privilege of performing alongside esteemed artists, including Tito Puente Jr, Agapito Pascual, Joshua Bowlus, Scott Giddens, Taylor Roberts, Olga Tanon, Elvis Crespo, Sandy Reyes, John Lumpkin Jr, Dennis Marks, Terry ‘Doc’ Handy, DiSip, Ekip, and numerous others.
Arredondo’s talents have taken him to prestigious music venues worldwide, including Prohibition Kitchen, Olympia Theatre, Adrienne Arsht Center, Good Times, The Jazz Corner, Vizcaya Museum and Garden, Revolution Live, WDNA 88.9 Jazz FM Radio, and performances in France, Suriname, Bahamas, Canada, Guiana, the Dominican Republic, and across the United States. Whether as a soloist or in various ensemble configurations ranging from duos to quintets, Arredondo offers a diverse repertoire spanning Jazz, Funk, R&B, and Latin. He is also a professional music educator and offers private lessons on saxophone, drums, piano, and music composition.
Excitingly, Arredondo is preparing to release his debut album “Reform” in the fall of 2024, further showcasing his musical prowess and artistry.
